A short film analysing the difficulty of children opening up.
What lengths would you go to excuse not doing your Geography homework? For Jude it's creating encounters with agents and aliens - all to shield himself from the reality he's struggling to face.

Rob collaborated with me on the short film 'Kidda'. He was given a long list of references and a very tight deadline in creating a score for the short. Given the tight turnaround time (essentially a week to compose the entire film) he handled the time pressure remarkably well. Not only this, but the composition he created blended beautifully with the images. He also was very meticulous in the manner he matched the notes extremely well with key action points. I was blown away by the way he allowed the humour to really pop in certain scenes through his talents. After creating an initial draft, there were a few revisions I requested of Rob and asked him to transform one scene entirely. He did this using a specific reference I provided him with and he created something non-derivative yet that still captured the feeling and emotion of the reference I felt best matched the scene. Given also that the film fluctuates wildly in tone - ranging from comedic moments to heavy drama - we pushed his creative range and he delivered. After the second pass and a quick edit on the timing of the credits, Rob condensed what we needed with aplomb again and we were very satisfied with the end product. I can't recommend enough working with Rob - clearly a very talented musician but most importantly responsive, committed and dedicated who I believe will go far in this industry.
